Who am I and why am I here?

My name is Sue Woledge and I’m learning to make money on the internet. I would first like to say that I’m not part of Generation Y, and I’m not even part of Generation X (almost, but not quite). I’m a Baby Boomer!Yes, that’s right. A Baby Boomer who’s planning for a comfortable last half (yes, I’m an optimist!) of my life by earning money on the internet.

I started to look into making money online after we closed our business, losing all the money from our home (and more) in December 2008, with the birth of my Creating a Toxin Free Future blog. I’ve learned a lot over the past year or so, and I also know that I’ve got a long, long way to go – there is so much to learn! The reason I’ve created this site, is to share what I’m learning with others, who like me, want to earn money working at home – in their pyjamas, or bare feet or board shorts if that is what they choose. I’ll be sharing ‘how to’s', my realisations and revelations as I learn, right from a beginner or newbie level to help you to get started creating your own web sites and making money on the internet.

I know how hard it is to find info (especially free info) on how to get started. I had emails flooding into my inbox for over 12 months as I signed up to everything I came across, trying to find the information that I needed to get started and I even had a bit of an advantage over many other people.  I have a background in Information Technology  and I at least knew how to build a website and how to do a bit of HTML coding! Most people have no idea and I know that it can all be a bit daunting – especially when you don’t even understand the lingo.

A plan for retirement

I know that there’s people of all ages wanting to learn to make money online, especially now with the whole GFC and things being the way they are. A lot of us have realised that working in a JOB (which stands for Just Over Broke in case you didn’t know) isn’t ever going to give us an ideal lifestyle. It’s always the case that when one is gainfully employed, or even in most cases of self employment, there is either no time or no money or both. It’s sad but true.

I also know that there’s a lot of people my age and a bit older out there panicking about their retirement. I see it in our friends. They’re all off suddenly hunting for investment properties, but I can’t help but feel that they’ve left it just a little late. I mean buying one or two investment properties when you’re around 55 years old will help you to live a little better after retirement, but you’re hardly going to be off seeing the world and living the ideal existence that we should be at that age – especially if we live for another 30 or 40 years!

So, that means if we can create additional income streams on the internet as well as other ways, it’s definitely going to help us to live to a ripe old age in comfort at the very least and that folks, is my mission. To create those income streams for myself and my hubby and to help others in any way I can to create their ideal retirement as well.

If you’ve any questions, suggestions or comments – feel free to comment (the more the merrier!) and I’ll reply as I’m able.

Here’s to success online (and off)!

Sue
